New salt injection head developed with Traust
Gives 2-3% better yield than the older head, which increases yield by 6-8%. It's designed to fit older machines. Steel sleeves, new type of needles and new type of packings.
We have during the last two years both replaced heads on older machines and sold about 10 new heads, mainly to the Faeroe Islands. The new head has 294 needles instead of 160 in the old one. The conveyor belt moves further ahead in each step, compared with the same speed of the machine the capacity increases with 75%. The good points are that you can run the machine slower, the fish gets heavier as more brine is left inside. Other advantages of the new head are the steel sleeves where the needles move in. This makes the machines last longer. New model of needles and packings are now in use.
