968 needles - New needle bridge - Higer yield
968 needles gives much higher pickup. The new bridge is now showing very good results from first day, the yield increased. The smallest needle is 1,65 mm in diameter, 2 mm is available and 2,7 mm as well. Now more yield at lower pressure - better quality Just recently we replaced 589 needle bridge with the new 968 needles on old TR 850 Injector at a filleting plant. The product was fresh codfillets size 400-1000 gr. Aprox. 18° brine was injected. The diameter of needless was 1,65 mm and nothing was changed in adjustment of the machine, pressure, time speed etc. The injecting raised from averaged 14% to 28%!
The pickup was increased by 100%!
The quality was excellent and no visual marks on the fillet after needles or surface damages thanks to small diameter and lower pressure through each needle. The reason for this good results are because the pattern is more tighter and the brine is has better access to the muscle.
All needles are hydrostatic and when the needle hit a bone in the fish there is now possibility that the needle will brake because it will simply stop and the bridge will glide down the needle head and and no force down on the needle except the brine pressure.
This new bridge with 1,65 mm is excellent for fish with softer flesh type. The thicker needles are made for fish with bone in and for fish that has firm meat. The thickest one 2,7 mm is used for fish with bone in as splitted cod, tusk and ling where you have big part of the spine still in the fish.
